Situated in the heart of Vancouver, Whiskey Six is a cozy and intimate dining room with taxidermy and classic lighting. They offer delicious and traditional BBQ with a unique West Coast twist.
The Restaurant
Whiskey Six is located at 826 Renfrew Street in East Van. After searching for the right space to open up shop, they finally found themselves here in 2017. The restaurant is 1,000 square-feet in size and seats 30-35 people. Marc Wicks started the restaurant after his time as a musician. Like a true entertainer, Wicks wants to put on a show with his food and let the flavors speak for themselves.
The Food
Whiskey Six is your go-to spot for delicious American style BBQ without leaving Vancouver. The menu is inspired by the flavors of the American South while offering classic BBQ items such as their tender Prohibition Pulled Pork and whiskey-soaked Beef Brisket. Not a meat eater? The vegetarian BBQ Jackfruit Veggie Burger is delicious.
They don’t just have delicious food—they also offer a selection of East Van craft beer and brown liquor. Whiskey Six is one of the only BBQ joints in Vancouver that locally sources organic and free range meats, produce and freshly baked bread. Some partners include Windsor Meats, Terra Breads and the Vancouver Farmers Market. It’s evident that sourcing local, quality products is important to the Whiskey Six BBQ team.
